Research opportunities

Graduate students (download this PDF for details)

Prospective graduate students who are interested in joining the group should apply to the PhD program in the Department of Chemical Engineering of LSU (http://gradapply.lsu.edu). Dr. Lawrence does not make admission decisions. Once you are admitted into our graduate program, contact Dr. Lawrence to discuss research opportunities. Please visit the following websites for more information about graduate admissions at LSU.

Chemical Engineering Graduate Program

Undergraduate students

If you are interested to carry out undergraduate research with us, please send an email to Dr. Lawrence along with your resume, unofficial transcript, and a brief cover letter summarizing your research interests, semester(s) you would like to work, and hours per week you would like to work. We are most interested in undergraduate researchers who can work for multiple semesters in the lab. Substantial hands-on lab experience will allow for meaningful training, effective mentoring, and major contributions to the team.

Postdoctoral fellows

We welcome applications from postdocs with backgrounds in the synthesis of small molecules, polymers, and/or nanomaterials. Please email Dr. Lawrence a brief cover letter indicating your research experience and areas of interest, along with a single PDF file that includes your CV and first-authored publications. In the cover letter please indicate your graduation timeline and career plan.
